Brief Description:  Baffles #11

FF2-12, Steps 10 & 11

Remove the CB-1002E Fwd Left Support Bracket. Deburr holes and edges of the bracket and the corresponding holes in the CB-1002A Fwd Left Air Ramp.

Re-install then rivet the CB-1002E Fwd Left Support Bracket to the CB-1 002A Fwd Left Air Ramp per the callout.

FF2-13, Steps 1, 2, 3, & 4

Fasten the Cylinder 1 Baffle Ramp Assembly to the engine using the hardware shown.

Match-Drill #30 the hole in the upper flange of the CB-1002G Clip into the CB-1003A Cylinder 2 Baffle. Match-Drill #30 the hole in the upper flange of the CB-1010G Clip into the CB-1009A Cylinder 1 Baffle.

Cut off the front of the CB-1003A Cylinder 2 Baffle 1/4 inch forward of the forward edge of the the CB-1002A Fwd Left Air Ramp. Cut off the front of the CB-1009A Cylinder 1 Baffle 1/4 inch forward of the forward edge of the CB-1010A Fwd Right Air Ramp.

Install the COWL 10 BOT 10-540 Bottom Cowl. Adjust the angle of the ramp along the ramp bend on both the CB-1010A Fwd Right Air Ramp and CB-1002A Fwd Left Air Ramp until the gap between the top face of the air ramp and the lower edge of the bottom cowl lip matches the dimensions given. Add a bend to the CB-1003A Cylinder 2 Baffle along the forward edge of the CB-1002G Clip as required until the gap between the inboard face of the cylinder 2 baffle matches the dimensions given. Repeat for the CB-1 009A Cylinder 1 Baffle and CB-1010G Clip if required.

The cylinder 2 baffle has a hole for a scat duct, but although I located it per the instructions, it is too far forward. The trim line marked above goes right through the mounting point. I'll have to order a new part and move the opening outboard and aft.

Janice assisted me in sanding micro on the bottom cowl, as well as the wing tips for the horizontal stabilizer.
