Brief Description:  Windscreen installation

The windscreen installation shouldn't take nearly as long as it did us.

CRITICAL NOTE: The reason is because we had fit the fairing a little to far forward (See page 57) and as a result, our windscreen was a bit to short to install. We looked at many different options including totally replacing the windscreen with a larger windscreen but in the end we ended up simply drilling the rear holes that are in the rear corners about 1/4" back as well as reaming out the bigger 2 holes back about another 1/4". This allowed us to have a little more on the front side that allowed us to mount the front portion of the windscreen.

Note, you can gently lift and block up the fairing a little to help take up the slack when mounting the windscreen in order to drill the holes.

We used some painting tape over the plastic when we drilled the holes. We got the center hole in place, then used cleco's to hold them in place as we went around. the side. We worked from the inside out alternating from one side to the other.
