I spent a lot of time getting my motor mount exactly the way I wanted it. As it came out, the mount is about 1/16 - 1/8 inch long where the motor attach points are, which other builders have said will be no problem at all. It is very well squared in the horizontal and vertical, so I'm pretty confident that the engine will hang correctly.
This operation also included selecting and cutting shims for each mount location. I ended up with each upper being shimmed with a 0.063" and a 0.025" shim, and lower left with two 0.025" shims, and lower right with a single 0.025" shim. This gave me the best overall fit and alignment.
