Brief Description:  Finishing kit arrives!

Tonight, Tanner and I drove down to LaSalle, IL and picked up the finishing kit at the shipping dock. We couldn't agree on a good time for them to deliver it with my work and travel schedule, so I just said I would come to their terminal and pick it up.

When we got home, Colten and his friends Ray and Cole were in the area so they stopped by to help get the crate out of the Tahoe. It weighed 300 pounds and was 49" wide and 8' long.

Vans does a great job of packing this stuff and it is protected very well. The finishing kit has a lot of fiberglass parts like the cowling, spinner, wheel pants, fairings and the polycarbonate canopy. Everything was in perfect shape with no damage. The kids helped me put the canopy and cowling halves in the loft of the shed and I put everything else on the shelves in the shop.

I need to get the wings mounted and drilled, finish up the forward fuselage area, and then I can get on to the finishing kit along with starting to wire the systems.
