Brief Description: Replaced rudder pedal bearing & flanged part
Tonight I fixed a couple of problems stemming from my Tom Henderson-provided parts. The rudder pedal bearing that he sent was poorly drilled and didn't line up well with the spaced holes on the cabin floor. I ordered replacements from ZAC and installed them tonight. On another note, when I had to get a new gear channel and rear seat panel from Tom (to be able to line up with the existing holes in the rear fuselage bottom), he sent a seat panel without a flanged hole. Because I had already sent the flanging dies on to another builder, Terry Phillips, I had to get them back. Actually that worked out well because Terry was in our area last week and offered to personally deliver them. It was great spending time with Terry and his son-in-law, Reggie, at the hangar on Saturday. Really nice guys with lots of experience and practical ideas about constructing these planes. Thanks, Terry. Not to be forgotten, thanks to Randy Thwing who let both of us use his flanging dies. They work amazingly well.
