Brief Description: Removed seat panels and arm rests
With the modifications that were required for the seat panel / arm rest area, I decided my best approach was to remove everything and be able to work in the open. The first problem I faced was that the rear bottom of the seat panel is riveted into the gear leg channel, and the rivet head were covered by the main gear. Once again, I removed my main landing gear. After that it was simply a matter of de-riveting everything that held the seats together. This is all for the purpose of replacing the .025" L angles with .040" L angles. In addition, I needed to replace the vertical supports around the spar access holes to the thicker size and extend them from spar down to the gear channel. Because I had already installed nutplates in all four corners of the access hole, that it what finally convinced me to disassemble everything. What fun.
