Before calibrating my fuel tanks, I thought this would be a good time to get a preliminary weight & balance calculation. Because I had taken the plane apart for engine and panel access, I brought back the missing pieces and stacked them at the correct stations. I put the wheel pants on loosely and added the missing door on the bottom of the fuselage. While I will need to do this one more time with everything finally installed and precisely measured, it told me that I have an available payload of 500 lbs. That is workable for me alone with full fuel and lots of baggage. If I want to take up another person over 140 pounds, I'll just need to be carrying less fuel. Not a problem. I also routed the fuel sender wires and made the final connection to the RDAC. I familiarized myself with the fuel calibration routines for my EFIS and then made a call for fuel delivery, only to learn that they were already closed. Just another job for tomorrow.
