One thing about the Ray Allen equipment is that the wires are super fine. At best they are 24 AWG, but my guess is that they are 26 AWG. What that dictates is a very stable way to secure them when making connections. For this task I took a solderable D-Sub connector and shrink wrapped each strand. I later put a tie wrap just after the shrink wrap and I will later encase the entire wrie bundle (at the shrink wrap portion) with E6000 (similar to Shoe Goo). That absolutely guarantees that nothing will move or flex at the connection. For more detail, see my post on 12/9/2007.
