Brief Description: Re-made left wing aileron access cover
Ever since I completed my first (and only) access cover, I was bothered by the fit of the countersunk rivets. I was improvising, using drill bits and a deburring countersink because I didn't have the right size 100 degree aviation countersink. I was able to borrow the right tool yesterday, so I decided to drill out the nut plates, remake the access cover, and drill and re-set the nutplates on the new cover. Everything came our beautifully, so I am now ready to do the same on the other 4 covers. The only problem is that Aircraft Spruce was out of stock, so I'll have to get them elsewhere or wait until their next shipment arrives.
