Brief Description:  Trimmed right wing tip

Today was special because a good friend, Pete McGowan, brought his Grandpa Earl to visit. Earl has done just about everything, including construction welding for major delivery pipelines, owning a barber shop, building or restoring several airplanes, making incredible radio controlled airplanes to quarter scale. He's even worked on a blimp. His good friend, Johnnie Rapello also joined us. His background goes back to being personally hired by Jack Northrup and working for Donald Douglas Jr., with only a high school degree. He has designed several airplanes and has an incredible grasp of aeronautical engineering. All in all, having them visit was a rare treat. A highlight for me was their multiple comments on my workmanship. Coming from these two long-time serious builders, I took that as quite a compliment. Back to the project, I continued on the right wing by cutting the excess skin from the right wing tip and test fitting the fiberglass wing tip. I'm not real happy with the quality of this part from Zenith, and will likely send it back so they can try again. I believe this is something they farm out. The gap on the bottom can be made up for with the wing tip sheet, but I think it is needlessly wide...among other small flaws. I'm within a few small cuts and tweaks of being done with the structure of my right wing. That leaves the "plumbing" which should be a welcome change of pace.
