Brief Description: Test run on setting dihedral & drilling for bolts
Because I managed to ruin a wing spar and decided to remake my center spar, I had the advantage (hard earned) of having spare parts to play with. This came in very handy today. Now that it is time to set the dihedral on my wing spars, I decided to do a dry run on my junk parts. Most of my time was spent setting up the drill press and deciding on my methods. Execution of the plan went very well. As you can see from my pictures below, I had to substitute a meter ruler for the spar tip to triangulate my end point. It came out to the millimeter. I hope I can do as well on the real thing. More on the method I used when I report the actual wing spars.
