From this point forward, I have just a few simple steps before fabricating each wing rib. These steps don't take that long, and I have chosen to do them one rib at a time. On the rib form, I must remove 1.2mm of material on the top and bottom edges of the front of the form for a distance of 28mm. This is to allow the finished rib to slide under the spar cap angles, while maintaining a smooth top and bottom curve from that point on. In addition, I must prep each rib blank by filing, deburring and smoothing the edges. I did all these steps on ribs 7 through 9 and finished their fabrication. I'm very glad to be in production...finally.
