I can hardly believe the time it took to bend my two aileron skins. In just 20 minutes I was able to put my measurements in the bend calculator, cut and bend a test strip and check the results. It could not have come out any better. From there, I got to work and knocked out the 1st aileron skin in one hour. The 2nd was done in 50 minutes and both were on the numbers in all dimensions. It almost makes me want to bend more skins. Naaaaah, I think I'd rather get busy on laying out, drilling and riveting some control surfaces.
After 1st "reverse" bend of small flange. Note next two bend lines on inside of part.
Bent and ready for 2x4 with pressure on leading edge to increase bend beyond the brake's capacity.
