Between travel and work demands, I've been limited in the time I could give to the project. I have, however, been involved in project-related activity. During this time I've spent quite a bit of time looking at how I'll outfit my instrument panel. Since I would like to leave the door open for an instrument rating, I've been taking the King Schools instrument rating knowledge test prep course to better understand the tools, procedures and jargon. On top of that, I've actually taken their "Flying the Garmin 430W/530W" interactive course so I can see if that is something I should try to incorporate. Plenty of time invested, but I feel much better prepared to make some instrument decisions.
