Spent time researching the feasibility of welding as part of my project. After several online conversations with Zenith list members, I have decided to learn. Purchased Richard Finch's "Welder's Handbook" for direction on advantages/disadvantages of each type of welding. According to the Zenith Construction Manual, electric (arc) or gas (oxyacetylene) welding is appropriate for welding 4130 N and steel, while heliarc (TIG) is required for the aluminum fuel tanks.
