Brief Description:  Left Aileron Up Stop

Today I changed a tailwheel tire on the 170 and flew a bit, so not a big day in the RV-7 shop.

All I did was make the aluminum spacer that fills the gap between the pushrod end bearing and the outboard flange of the left aileron hinge bracket, and added a delrin spacer to serve as an up-stop to limit aileron travel. This is different from the angle riveted to the wing bracket called out in the plans. The spacer goes just outboard of the W-818 pushrod's bearing at the aileron hinge bracket, and contacts the wing bracket at full up travel. Several other builders have noted that a 3/4" spacer gets you very near the 32-degree up travel limit. Mine was right on. From photos 2 and 3, 114-82=32 degrees!
