Brief Description:  Left Fuel Tank

Today I attended a memorial service for a fellow aviator (Good Trip West, Ozzie!), so I didn't get started on the RV until mid afternoon.

I wet-riveted the inboard end rib, encapsulated the shop heads, and cleaned up the outside skin. I also permanently installed the vent line fitting. Since the fitting has no provision for safetying (and probably doesn't need it in most situations), I encapsulated the fitting in sealant. I couldn't get a full wrap of the fuel sender wire around the inboard section of vent line, so I'll lace it up in a couple of places and secure with dabs of sealant before closing the tank.

I still have to install six #4 rivets to secure the reinforcement plate and tank attach bracket, and locate the pickup tube on the cover plate before installing the tank baffle. Almost there...
