Removed baggage floors so as to assess good locations for conduit holes should they be required in the future. I plan to send photos marked up with my proposed locations to Van’s to see if there are any structural problems.
I also removed the flap torque tube since it is in the same general area and I need to install the upper rod end bearing with the bolt head on the outboard side so the nuts can’t interfere with the rudder cables. I had forgotten the trick to getting this part in and out, and had to learn it over again. After removing all of the attaching hardware, you tip one end up as far as it will go to BARELY have enough room to slide one end bearing block off the tube so the assembly will clear the F-722 horizontal aft bulkhead.
