Brief Description:  Flap Pushrods

Opened right flap pushrod hole to 1/2ā€ to clear rod end jam nut. Elongated that hole fore and aft to clear he lower rod end bearing. Installed pushrod with washers to center upper rod end bearing in the actuator fork, then progressively marked and burred out the path for the horizontal section of the lower rod end bearing to get full retraction, and the path for pushrod to get 40 degrees of extension (photo 1). The fully retracted flap leaves the actuator approx 3/32ā€ below the point where the motor disengages on retraction (photo 2), and 40 degrees of extension leaves the actuator about that far above where the motor disengages on extension. I will lengthen the pushrod about 3/32ā€ so the motor will disengage at full retraction, and enlarge the pushrod hole to allow enough extension to engage the motor (photo 3). Iā€™m guessing that will be about 45 degrees.
