Brief Description: More Aileron Rigging, First Sit in N904KM
With the wings on I couldn't reach the hardware to remove to control column to adjust the F-665, so I took the opportunity to document the first time sitting what will someday be N904KM.
Removed control column from the airplane (first time to sit in her!). It took me two iterations to adjust sticks parallel with 3 full turns per bearing. This shortened the distance between bolt centers to 18-3/4”. The inside edges of the sticks are now 18-1/2” apart, bottom and top. I somehow damaged one of the bearings while holding it for tightening and it no longer works smoothly, so I will get a new one on order and get it replaced before I reinstall the column in the airplane.
