Brief Description: Begin Forward Fuselage Disassembly
Today I started disassembly of the forward fuselage in order to prep the parts for final assembly.
I started by scoring the vinyl on the inside of the forward side skins for removal for access for deburring and dimpling the holes. I used the internal structure as guides for doing this work, including reinstalling the armrests (photo 1). When I got the armrests clecoed back to the skin, I noticed one hole on each flange on each end that hadn't been match drilled to the bulkheads. I went ahead and took care of this while I've got easier access.
After I removed the firewall and forward fuselage structure, I drilled the F-704K bulkhead side covers while the access is still good (photo 2).
