Well, it only took about 45 minutes to screw up the replacement F-719R forward skin stiffener that took a week (and shipping double the cost of the part...) to acquire. I didn't have it clamped adequately to the angle clip at the forward end, and it moved inboard before I got both holes match drilled.
I really don't care for the quality of the part anyway. The aft end is "joggled" to fit over the F-704 bulkhead, but the joggle causes the vertical leg to bow out. I don't see how this could possibly look good on the outside once the skin is riveted to it. I'm thinking of just ordering some 6061 3/4x3/4x063 angle stock from Spruce and make my own, cutting it flush with the bulkhead and using a spacer and angle clip to attach to the bulkhead as described in the RV-6 plans in the VAF post: http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?p=720199.
Poor fit at the forward end of the F-719 skin stifffener.
