Today I did the detailed inventory of all the fuselage subkits, and about half of the detailed inventory of the hardware bags.
I'm running short on bins for all the different types of hardware in the fuselage, so I'm only organizing the hardware types which already have designated bins. I'm putting the rest back in its individual bag, putting that bag back in the "bag of bags", and noting it on the inventory sheet. I'll organize those leftover parts when I start work on the fuselage.
I'm not as comfortable as I thought I'd be leaving the fuselage kit at the airport, so I've decided to bring as much of it home as I can and store it above the rafters in the shop. I got the firewall and the large rolled-up skins home and put away today. I'll bring as much as I can each time I'm at the airport. It shouldn't more than 4 or 5 trips.
In between the subkit inventory (at the airport), and hardware inventory (in the shop), Karen and I managed about an hour of local sightseeing in the 170. :O)
