Brief Description:  Rudder Assembly - Part 7

No real assembly progress tonight. Just preparing to proseal the trailing edge.

I clecoed the steel angle drilled earlier to one side of the trailing edge of the rudder. That side layed nice and flat against the angle, but the other side displayed some pillowing between rivet holes. I had a 5-foot piece o 1/8x1x1 hardware store architectural angle laying around, so I match drilled it to the steel angle. When I sandwiched the trailing edge between the two angles, both skin trailing edges laid nice and flat.

I thought about going ahead and prosealing the wedge in place, but my newest can of proseal is 3 years old, so I thought it prudent to mix up a batch to test how well it sets up. I'm thinking the progress lost is way more than offset by the amout of time it would take to clean up if I prosealed the trailing edge of the rudder and it didn't set up. I can work on the elevators for a few days while giving this stuff a chance to cure.

Edit: After 24 hours in front of the heater on low, the test batch of proseal was fully cured. This can is good to go.
