While I was installing the stiffeners for the service letter yesterday I noticed that the tailspring weldment wasn’t flush with the F-712 bulkhead and the bulkhead was bowed in slightly, indicating the need for a shim. I fabricated a 0.062 shim from a misdrilled canopy frame bow and installed it with keeper rivets through the weldment.
