Brief Description:  Wing Incidence Level Attachment

I didn't particularly care for the idea of the 3" wood block and carpenter's level for checking wing incidence so I kludged up a Rube Goldberg tool by clamping 1/16 thick angles to my level such that they protruded 3 inches below the level at a position corresponding to the distance between the main and rear wing spars. It was bit fiddly to put together, but it worked very well. The bubble on my level is about a half line width or so out, to I marked a positon to consistently place my iPad and used my Clinometer application to take the measurements.

The instructions say to align the front end of the level even with the front face of the main spar web. As best as I can tell, that is 1 inch forward of the front edge of the main wing skin, so we placed tape and drew reference lines at the root, middle, and tip of each wing. The instructions didn't say where on the rear spar to measure to, but I assumed the front face as well. Putting the angles 26-11/16 inches back on the level seemed about the right place. (As the instructions say, the exact measurements aren't as critical as their being consistent side to side.)
