Brief Description:  Fuselage Aft Deck

After spending some time this morning as a mentor on the Brighton Build-A-Plane RV-12 project, then visiting an AWSOME hangar at Livingston County Airport, I got inspired to spend some time with the RV-7 today. I spent 1:45 just getting 0.2 degrees of twist out of the fuselage. The issue was that when the fuselage was square, the aft deck was too far to one side, which would have caused edge distance problems on one the longerons. My solution was to get the fuselage square then lock it into place with a couple of angles clamped across the longerons forward of the aft deck, then unclamp the aft deck and center it on the longerons without allowing twist back into the fuselage.

Once I got the aft deck drilled to the longerons and the HS attach angle spacers, I devinyled the aft deck, then deburred all edges and holes and prepped, and primed the deck and spacers. Next step: Shoot and buck 56 #4 rivets
