Brief Description:  Center Fuselage Riveting

Today good friend and Bearhawk builder Russ Erb came over and bucked rivets for me while our wives checked out a new outlet mall in the area. We pretty much finished riveting the bottom and sides of the center fuselage aft of the F-704 and below floor level, as well as some interior structure; basically all rivets that require two people. There was one hole that had somehow gotten stretched past the point of being able to properly set a -3 rivet, so I'll need to drill the hole out to #30 and install a "oops" rivet for that one. I don't have any -4 NAS rivets, so I left a cleco in the hole to remind me that that needs to be done (photo 2).

The rivet holes through the F-706 bulkhead for attaching one of the baggage ribs come out immediately adjacent to the flange of the horizontal bellcrank rib, so I believe I'll have to fabricate a shim to get the rivets to sit properly (photo 3).
