Brief Description:  Center Fuselage - Seat Ribs

I started out by test fitting the left pair of crotch strap seat ribs to the floor skin to ensure a good fit BEFORE riveting the brackets. The fit is good, so I went ahead and riveted the brackets.

I then riveted the remaining six interior seat ribs to the F-704 bulkhead. To help hold the ribs in place, I inserted the bolts and ran the nuts down just snug. I riveted the first three ribs with the shop heads on the rib flanges, but for reasons I don't totally understand the flanges were distorting more that the center two I had riveted a few days ago. I then decided to use the offset universal rivet set and put the factory head on the rib side. It worked much better than I could ever have hoped. I was afraid of the set spinning, and did occasionally do that, but I didn't get a single smiley!

I then torqued and torque striped all of the nuts.
