I started troublshooting the right aileron bracket to see why it works fine on the bench, and binds up when installed in the wing. Photo 1 shows that the pivot bolt is not square with the brackets, causing the bushing to bind when both brackets are bolted to the spar.
It turns out that the autopilot servo from Dynon has the pivot hole placed about 1/16" further inboard that it should be. In photo 2 below, the left vertical line on the Dynon bracket is the extended midpoint between the spar bolt holes. The one on the right is the centerline of the pivot hole. On the Van's bracket, the pivot hole is at the midpoint between the spar bolt holes.
I'll PM Dynon support and see if they'll replace the bracket.
