Ken Scott at Vans answered my recent support email yesterday with a terse "The most probable scenario is that the trailing edge bend in the skin is slightly misplaced." The order department interpreted that as being Vans' fault, and are in the process of sending a new aileron skin. I could have drilled out the stiffeners from the old skin and used them, But I thought that instead of taking a chance on enlarging some holes I'll just order new ones. I also had them throw in a trailing rib that I mis-drilled for one of the attach brackets.
