Brief Description:  Right Wing

The forward overlapping corners of the main wing skins were still a bit proud of the tank skin, so I started today by scarfing them a bit more, then cleaned and primed the scarf. I then scuffed, cleaned, and primed the outer surface of the overlapped area of the top and bottom inboard skins (see photo 1). I'll let these cure a couple of days before dimpling them.

I then machine countersunk the main spar for the domples in the main and leading edge skins (see photo 2). As with the left wing, I set the countersink tool for 12 "clicks" deeper than for a flush rivet for the 0.025 skins, and 4 "clicks" deeper than that for the 0.032 skins. I also countersunk the most forward rivet holes for the ribs under the tank skin for a flush rivet. I then primed all of the countersinks.

I then scuffed, cleaned, and primed the main rib and rear spar flanges. I'll also let these cure for a couple of days before dimpling.

I finished up the day by dimpling the leading edge ribs and aileron stiffeners, which I'd primed a couple of weeks ago.
