Brief Description: Aileron Brackets
Happy Halloween!
While Karen was taking care of the the ghosts, goblins, and princesses, I worked toward completing the aileron brackets. I first fit the left brackets to the spar. Both required a bit of trimming on the top edge to clear the top flange of their spar reinforment plates. I then match and final drilled them to the spar, and re-primed the trimmed areas.
While the primer was curing on the left brackets, I began assembling the right ones. I riveted the outboard one just fine, but I failed to properly adjust the machine countersink and countersunk a couple of the flush rivet holes too deep on one of the inboard plates, so I'll be ordering a new one.
