Brief Description:  Right Fuel Tank

Today I completed installation of the capacitance fuel level sender by soldering the very ends of the wires to the terminals to ensure continuity, terminating the wires to the inboard plate, sealing the inboard side of the screw, and permanently mounting the inboard plate.

I then re-cleaned all of the sealing surfaces of the the inboard rib and skin, installed the vent line fitting, then sealed the rib, and set and encapsulated the rivets. After the rib was riveted, I installed the T-410 reinforcement plate and T-405 attach angle. I had a bit of an issue with the attach angle, as I failed to check for interference from the rib rivets before applying sealant. There were three rivets that interfered, and I had to mark and grind clearance slots with the scotchbrite wheel while the part was all gooped up.

I also set seven rivets in the cover plate reinforcing ring that I had drilled out earlier, due to being proud of the surface of the rib. I missed installing one nut plate and had to drill those rivets out again, leaving quite a few shavings in the fresh sealant. If I'd thought about it, I would have just waited until the sealant was cured to drill out the rivets...

I still need to seal the sender wires and snap bushings to the vent line and ribs in four bays, seal the inboard terminations, and seal the inside of the vent line fitting. I also need to fit the fuel pickup and retainer bracket on the cover plate before installing the baffle.
