Not much time this evening, so I fabricated the vent line clips. It's been too long since I made the ones for my HRII project, so I had to start from scratch on technique. Photo 1 shows what I came up with.
The angle is left over from fabricating the tank attach angles. The screwdriver shank is 1/4", the same as the OD of the vent line tubing. I cut the 0.025 stock from the flange of a leftover rudder or elevator stiffener. With the angle clamped firmly, and the screwdriver at a slip fit under its clamp, I was able to wedge the stock against the table and angle while rolling the stock around the shank of the screwdriver, in approximately 1/4 turn increments. Due to springback, I had to tighten the loop with pliers for a slight interference fit on the tubing.
I bent the flange with the stock and the same screwdriver clamped in my bench vise. The first one I made came out about 1/8" too high. On the next two I adjusted the height, and they came out perfect.
