Brief Description: Wing Ribs and Left Wing Assembly
Cleaned and primed front and rear flanges of all main ribs, as well as the short sections of the top and bottom flanges that nest inside the spar flanges. Scuffed, cleaned, and primed rib attach areas on both rear spars. Drilled top forward tooling hole in all main ribs to 7/16", and bottom tooling hole to 5/8" for snap bushings for wiring and/or AOA plumbing.
Primed rib rivet holes in left main spar, and taped spar bars to prevent damage from the bucking bar. Riveted the first thirteen main ribs to the left main spar. The outboard main rib gets riveted later in assembly with the outboard nose rib.
Drilled a 1x1 jigging angle to the outboard rib.
Rivets Today: 65 Rivets Total: 2706
Rib flanges and rear spar rib attach areas primed.
Rib rivet holes primed (with a cotton swab), and spar bars taped to avoid damage from the bucking bar.
The first thirteen main ribs riveted to the left main spar.
