Brief Description:  Completed Rear Spars; Started Main Ribs

Prepped (scotchbrite with Dawn diswashing detergent, then rinsed and dried) inboard end reinforcement fork and doubler plate and the inboard aft face of the spar web. Then I drilled, deburred, and dimpled inboard top flange holes, due to the fact that the top flange can't be dimpled after the reinforcement fork gets riveted. (I didn't dimple the wing skin holes in W-707E or F, or their mates on the spar, as their flanges are bent to an acute angle, and my dimple dies wouldn't fit. Since this area will be two layers of 0.040, I have no qualms about countersinking the spar for #3 skin dimples). After dimpling, I gave the parts one last solvent wipe, and primed with Duplicolor rattle can primer.

While the primer was curing, I squared the flanges of all maing wing ribs.

Riveted W-707G reinforcement fork, W-707D doubler plate, and W-707E & F aileron bracket reinforcement plates to the rear spar.

Both main and rear spars are now complete. After deburring and fluting the main wing ribs, they will be ready for initial wing assembly.
