Brief Description: Session 1 - Riveted Rudder Leading Edge
Drilled rudder leading edge holes out to #30 and blind riveted, per instructions and plans.
I also installed the hinge bearings and spent close to an hour gettng them adjusted, THEN remembered that I had measured a 1/16" bow in the lower end of the vert stab spar. Van's tech support said that would straighten out when attached to the fuselage, so for now, I'm leaving the jam nuts loose, and will make the final adjustments after installation.
There are still two rivets at the aft end of each side of the tip rib, and one rivet on the forward end of the root rib I still haven't installed. I've almost decided to not be a hero and just put the blind ones in, but I'm not quite there yet. They can both wait until just before installing the fiberglass ends to make a final decision...
