I had a fantastic time flying into McKinney Airport for the EAA Canard fly in on Saturday. However, I had a couple cowl screws work their way out and into my prop. ugh! Oh well, I have wanted to re-finish and finesse my prop anyways. Now is the perfect time. I removed the prop and used a mix of Flox and micro to fill the damaged areas as well as a few poorly finished areas that Hertzler had ignored. I'm going to be contouring the prop blades to be more symetrical and re-painting it a darker metallic. It's gonna be beautiful. I'm temped to also sand down the tips about 1/4" in order to get a little more static RPM but I'll need to consult with Gary beforehand.
