Brief Description:  OIl Pan Leak fix for GOOD.

So the oil pan leaks have been growing due to small failures of the weld joints in locations where the undercut was obvious. No cracks were developing. This requires serious attention and attention it received!
Finding a TIG welder in town to re-weld the oil pan was going to cost a fortune and waiting 6 months for UL Power to send a new oil pan isn't an option either. Instead I looked for a different solutuion that will work as a permament and safe fix. After several hours of research and consulting with a "few" people who think outside the box, and I actually trust, I was recommended "right stuff" by Permatex. Stuff is amazing and it is NOT an RTV. Continuing the research I was hard pressed to find ANY bad reviews. In fact, I found none. Hundreds of people claiming it's all they use for anything engine gasket/sealer related. I then read over the MSDS and chemistry of this stuff and found that it's resistant to oil, among a long list of things that should never see the inside of my oil pan. It is then rated for up to 450 deg. F continuous, so I pulled the trigger and bought it. The can has an applicator that makes running a bead of this stuff a snap. It cures quickly so I had to keep moving. Obviously the Oil pan was thoroughly cleaned and prepped for the application and found this morning how tough this stuff really is. Now I see why so many reviews call it an almost "permanent" Gasket solution. I was told not to think it would come off easy. Perfect. I don't want this stuff coming off inside my pan and apparently there are a Lot of guys who have done this in the Auto world with total success. I re-installed the oil pan today and will test fly her tomorrow :)
