Brief Description:  Dual pass cooler is on and sensor errors

The new dual pass cooler is on and boy does that bottom fitting and oil line stick WAY out into the airflow. Had to cut a big ol hole in the lower cowling to clear it, but that's a temporary hole until this cooler proves itself. If this one does the job then I'll most likely re-shape the lower cowling all the way from the scoop inlet to the trailing edge of the cowl for a really nice contour.

Are you ready for this....I've found that my oil temp sensor is reading 10 degrees higher than what the temps actually are! YUP. I confirmed it when draining my oil last night and reading the oil with a temp gun to find that it was the same temp as the OAT temp, while the reading was 10 degrees higher. I contacted UMA about it and they advised that I check my wiring and what I found was crazy. The avionics shop that wired this sensor used a small AWG wire, screwed to the Main wires instead of soldered! What! both of those issues will absolutely add resistence to the line and cause a high reading. I will be removing the small AWG wire and replacing it with a good 18 awg instead and soldering them instead of using screws. They advised I have been most likely getting a 2 ohm offset with my current setup. THIS means I will have 10 degrees lower oil temps. YES! I'm on it!
