Brief Description:  Scoop gets micro, Z-grip, and first rounds of prim

The scoop is close to being ready for install. The access cut was made in order to allow me to micro and contour the interior. The cut lines are also in a place that will allow me to flox it back together and contour the seam lines so they wont be visible. I then added flocro to the leading edge for a robust edge compared to micro alone. After contouring this all down I then headed for the airport to solve another head scratcher. The 1/2" gap between the scoop and belly is very important in that it allows the thick boundry layer to pass above the scoop. However, this is a very tight place that my fingers won't fit inside so sanding will be a PITA! My best solution is to get this transition as perfect as I can so that when I bond the scoop to the belly, it will have very minimal sanding needed. I chose to tape off the naca and belly once again, and then pile up micro onto the scoop then press it into place. After cure, it revealed a perfect bonding surface and edge line that I can easily sand here at the shop. After final primer has been applied to the majority of the scoop, I'll then flox the scoop to the belly, hopefully without any pressing out the sides. I can then finish up the bottom of the scoop and how it transitions into the belly and cowling, prepping it for final primer and a test flight. Those tires are tired of sitting around so long :)
