Brief Description:  Spark plug wire routing and woes

When the UL power engine arrived almost a year ago, I went through all the parts and accessories and was taken back at the cheap spark plug wires and connectors that were included. I thought, "why would a company send a $30k engine with "basic quality" plug wires?" Nevertheless I didn't think about it much until today. I decided on the routing of all 12 wires and labeled everything to make sure that each wire goes to the right plug. I then started soldering the terminals to each wire end and while this went fine, I started getting concerned when some would slide right in to the connector and others wouldn't even fit. Then when the ones that DID go in, had slop in the connection, I felt that something wasn't right. Then after trying to remove them for a better connection and fit, one of the connectors broke off! That's IT! these are crap and I can't believe anyone would trust their life with these let alone UL including them. Garbage. Tomorrow I will head out and buy some REAL plugs and wires and in the end probably get even better performance and reliability out of this beast!
Sorry UL, no points for you today...
