I pulled off all the peel ply, sanded down the edges and even painted the glass work I did on the upper cowling to make it a bit more visually stimulating before installing it back on the bird. The lower cowl was re-installed and everything fits perfectly well. just one small trim to do on one of the aluminum pieces should do it. But for now, this will be perfect for a test flight. I've taped off the reverse naca on the upper cowling above the servo in order to see if the new shields do their job. I'm also hoping to see my CHT's drop a bit which would indicate that I'm getting better flow OUT of the cowling. If so, I will continue to block off the back end until I reach optimum cooling. How fun :)
