Brief Description:  first ply forward lip and fastener holes drilled

This cowling is taking twice as long as I assumed it would. My stress over it got me a wonderful sinus infection that kept me from the shop all day yesterday, but after pampering myself with ice cream and cinnamon tea, I was back at it today. :)
I trimmed where I needed for a better fit, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. For example, I have to add 1/8" to the right side lip because I sanded it back too far. Doh! Plus about 4 plies thickness needs to be added underneath for a flush fit. These are all things that will be done well enough to make it airworthy, however, will be honed in on the second cowling that gets made. This one will be getting a lot of filler and will most likely end up looking like a hack job. LOL. Heck, I might not even add the filler before I fly it. LOL. Either way, lot of work left to do and I haven't even started on the bottom half. ugh.
