I started by sanding down all the green foam that needed to go, clearing room for the cowling lip. I then trimmed the intake tube down to a respectible length. This tube will be glassed with Carbon Fiber BID for added rigidity since I wont be using metal in the construction. I then stacked a few pieces of green foam in the primary areas that would become the fillets between intake and fuselage, creating a much smooth transition for better airflow. After this I added pour foam to hold the green in place and fill the voids. After cure, I contoured the foam to a BASIC shape that I may or may not keep. So far it's the most functional contours I could achieve so they may stay. The kicker will be installing the canopy and checking for clearances at the hinge point.
