I cut the 40 pieces of bid in total that the plans call for in order to make a glass bed for the extrusions to mount onto. This glass work was more difficult to accomplish due to the thickness of the layup and compund curves. after a few hours I was able to align the new extrusions close to their final position during cure. I will, however, be mounting the engine mount to the extrusions first and then floxing/bolting them in place afterwards. This will guarantee absolute alignment with no unecessary stresses added to the mount or airframe. I was only able to layup the top. The bottom extrusions will be next.
