Brief Description:  Angle Extrusions

The Plans call out for the angle extrusions to be made of spruce wood. I however cannot justify the cost of spruce when red oak is cheaper, easier to find, and has a higher tensile strength. So yep, $5 later I had what I needed. All 4 cut out and ready to flox in place. The fit is great but I am alittle concerned that the .3" angle won't be enough to get the engine mount plates to a 90 degree angle to the firewall. Right Now I am having the newest engine mount extrusion design made for me by a long time builder and machinist. See more on these later. VERY COOL. I'm sure that enough fiberglass and epoxy can make up for the angle issues that "might" show up in the wood. We'll see...
