Brief Description:  Spar Woes

After staring at the picture of the Ez in my driveway I couldn't shake the thought that the right wing looked slightly lower than the left and while it may not make a HUGE difference in flight it sure bugged the living crap out of me. I used a tightly pulled fishing line to create a level surface to measure how "off" the angle actually was and sure enough it was off by .5 degrees. doesn't sound like much but at the wing tip it translates into a few inches. So I made the decision to cut out the flox and start over. I do know that lining up the bolt bushings to a 90 degree angle to the longerons created a great incidence so at least i had that one down. It took 4 hours to cut through and grind down all the flox to the point where it's ready to be bonded again. It's late here so I'll wait to do the final alignments and flox for another day.
