So, after I cleaned up the "perfect" holes I spent 7 hours drilling out yesterday, I inspected the surrounding work as I always do and noticed something that didn't match the plans. ALL the layups were complete as they should have been but the previous builder made a HUGE mistake. He forgot to add all the LWA2's and LWA3's to BOTH wings! This is one of those areas that has NO room for compromise so I got started making the parts out of 2024T3 stock. I measure the holes great and on the first attempt all the pieces bolted up just fine. I added wet micro per plans and clamped them all down to cure overnight. Tomorrow I will add the necessary glass work and then HOPE that this doesn't screw up all the measuring I did yesterday. Either way, I'd rather be a couple degrees off then to have a wing fly off! :D
